The Amazon biome occupies most of the Amazon Basin of SouthAmerica, a once flooded land joining the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, it is now separated from the Pacific by the Andes Mountains.
And even though 83% of its area is contained in Brazil, Peú and Colombia, Ecuador holds many untouched and protected national parks and the first historical account of the Spanish discovery of the Amazon River in 1541.
Our tours to this amazing part of the country include birdwatching, mammal watching, experiencing the culture, and comfortable lodges to observe the wildlife. We can also add adventure activities like canoeing, kayaking, rafting, trekking and canyoning, and if you prefer deeper connection to the jungle, cultural trips where we visit and experience the jungle with the local communities and their cosmovisions.
